NORHyWAY at Hydrogen Valley Days 2026 in Antwerp

As Norway's first hydrogen valley, NORHyWAY joined hydrogen valleys, industry representatives and projects from across Europe in Antwerp last week for Hydrogen Valley Days 2026, hosted by the European Commission and the Clean Hydrogen Partnership.

The annual gathering brought together funded hydrogen valleys from across Europe to exchange experiences and discuss common opportunities and challenges as projects move from development into implementation.

"For NORHyWAY, one of the most valuable parts of the event was meeting other valleys, projects and stakeholders that are all working in the same direction: building value chains and infrastructure for green hydrogen across Europe," says Ida Kallmyr Lerheim, one of the Project Managers in NORHyWAY.

A packed programme

The week's programme included project presentations, workshops and discussions covering the breadth of hydrogen initiatives now under development across Europe. For the NORHyWAY team, it was an opportunity to compare notes with both familiar and new contacts across the European hydrogen ecosystem.

GreenH secures EU Hydrogen Bank support

Hydrogen Valley Days also brought good news for the NORHyWAY consortium: partner GreenH AS has secured more than €50 million in support from the EU Hydrogen Bank for its NORHyWAY hydrogen hub in Rogaland. The funding makes the Rogaland hub the fifth production site in the NORHyWAY valley to secure capex funding, and reflects the wider momentum currently building around hydrogen infrastructure and value chain development across Europe.

Building a European hydrogen ecosystem

Hydrogen Valley Days continues to serve as a key arena for collaboration, knowledge-sharing and new connections across Europe's hydrogen ecosystem, and NORHyWAY looks forward to continuing the dialogue with fellow valleys and partners in the months ahead.
